"I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.” ~Psalm 40:8 I was meditating on this verse this morning and something stuck out to me. "I desire to do your will..." How easy is it for us to desire to do God's will? According to Paul, our spirit is willing but our flesh is weak (Matthew 26:41). The second part of that verse goes on to say that God's law is within the Psalmist's heart. That's the key. Continuous time spent with God in His word will cause you to desire the things of the Spirit. "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you."
